G:link greets the newest vehicles to the G:13/09/2017
From 10:00pm to last service on Monday 25th of September 2017, buses will replace trams along the entire alignment from Broadbeach South to Gold Coast University Hospital. The change in our services is to welcome the second of our four new light rail vehicles onto the G:.
In order to get the new vehicles onto the alignment, the overhead lines will need to be powered down.
The last in-service tram will leave the Gold Coast University Hospital station at 9:45pm on Monday the 25th of September 2017. Services will resume like normal at 5am, the next day, for normal first service. The only services that will be affected are those services between 9:45pm to last service on the 25th of September.
Bus replacement services will run according to our timetable. Due to traffic and routes, please just allow a little extra travel time. Bus replacement services will run from the night bus stop, the location of which can be found on the information maps on our station platforms.
Our new trams are all part of the Stage 2 extension to Helensvale. Their addition to our fleet will allow us to continue our high frequency service across the entire alignment once stage 2 is live.
