ANZAC Day Extra Services
G:link services on ANZAC Day, 25 April, have been extended to help you get to and from dawn services.
If you’re planning on catching the trams to any ANZAC service on the coast, we’ll be running additional services from 4am to help you get there.
- Remember to hold on at all times while on board the tram and push the illuminated button on the tram to open the door.
- Use your go card for travel (remember there may be crowds, so it will be easier to use a go card) or buy a paper ticket at the station ticket machines.
- Current Australian Defence Force personnel and veterans in uniform or wearing their service medals are entitled to travel for free on the G: and other TransLink public transport services. Their spouses and families wearing medals on behalf of veterans, and children in full uniform representing Scouts, Girls Brigade and Military Associations are also permitted to free travel to attend ANZAC Day ceremonies.
- If you are unsure whether this applies to you, call TransLink on 13 12 30. You can also call TransLink for info on fares, ticketing and retailers, journey planning and general public transport info, or visit translink.com.au
