If you fancy a beverage with a side of live music and art this weekend, make haste to Palm Beach Hotel for Check-In. Palmy. Gold Coast-based visual artist CRT Designs will not only unveil her eye-catching solo exhibition on the new 14-metre exhibiting wall but you can also witness the magic in person with some live painting featuring CRT and Shmick. There will be live music from Laura Mardon and Pete Koro as well as food, drinks, culture and even a little competition with a Petridish prize pack.
Drawing inspiration from the graffiti of Melbourne lanes, the iconography of medieval religious art, the urban beach culture of the Gold Coast and the energy of her birth place Sydney, CRT pushes boundaries and breaks the rules. CRT’s painting practice is heavily influenced by popular music, street culture, urban aesthetics, underground zines, pin-up girls, pop and graffiti art.
All of the artwork on display will be for sale so if you fancy a piece, it can be yours. Oh and did we mention entry was free?
