Treat yourself to a two-hour food and drinks package featuring slow-roasted Australian beef with rosemary salt and rich gravy, pork roast with house-made apple sauce and some seriously crispy crackling alongside fresh chilled prawns and delicious sides. Garden Kitchen & Bar
Excellent food, exceptional drinks and even more exceptional company – it’s the winning trifecta at Garden Kitchen & Bar. Take a seat at the Insta-worthy picnic table out on the lawn and delight in three glorious hours of plentiful food and top-shelf tipple. Begin your feast with an entree of tuna carpaccio, peppered beef fillet and salad of spring vegetables served share style before moving on to the mains of perfectly pink lamb rack or lightly smoked duck breast, served alternately. For dessert, enjoy a deliciously sweet strawberry shortcake with strawberries, meringue and ice-cream. There will be a hair and make-up station on hand to ensure the fillies are in fine form as well as Fashions off the Field, sweeps and a live DJ. Nineteen at The Star
Raise the stakes on your Melbourne Cup festivities and spend the day soaking in the sumptuous surrounds and insatiable views at Nineteen at The Star. With two different packages on offer, you can tailor your day to suit your vibe.
The restaurant is treating punters to a luxurious lunch featuring share-style entrees of caviar blini, freshly shucked oysters, prawn cocktail and mushroom risotto alongside your choice of Patagonian toothfish or slow-roast prime rib for mains. Accompanying the menu is a selection of top-shelf tipple including Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label, Momo by Seresin sauvignon blanc, Oakridge ‘Over the Shoulder’ Yarra Valley chardonnay, Bellvale ‘Estate’ Gippsland pinot noir and Head Wines ‘Red’ Barossa shiraz. If beer is more your vibe, there will be a selection of local and international beers on offer alongside non-alcoholic options, soft drinks and bottled water. Tickets to the restaurant function are $300 per person.
If you’re more of a mingler, the bar is hosting a cocktail-style event that includes a glass of Veuve Clicquot on arrival alongside a four-hour drinks and canape package. There will be live DJ sets, Fashions on the Rooftop, sweeps and of course, plenty of screens to enjoy all of the racing action. Tickets to The Bar function are $164.65 per person.
Watch the race that stops the nation at Harvest Buffet and delight your tastebuds in a three-hour full seafood buffet (including half lobster!) and beverage experience. The venue will be buzzing and there will be lucky door prizes as well as Fashions off the Field to keep the raceday spirit. Tickets are $154.25 per person.
