G:et around Schoolies on the G:

School leavers will soon arrive on the Gold Coast for the 2025 Schoolies celebrations! Queensland Schoolies celebrations will run from 22 – 29 November 2025.

In addition to our regular services, we will be running extra tram services in the evenings to help get Schoolies home again from Sunday evening 23 November to Thursday evening 28 November 2025.

Travelling during Schoolies has never been cheaper! Pay only 50 cents per journey with these easy payment options:

  • contactless Visa, Mastercard or American Express credit or debit card or digital wallet linked to your smartphone, smart watch, or smart device. Please present one card or device per customer travelling. Remember to tap on and off with the same one to avoid being charged an extra fee. For example, if you tapped on with your smart watch tap off with it too.
  • go card – please tap your go card to a validator on the station platform at the beginning and end of each trip.
  • a pre-purchased paper ticket. Available from fare machines located at G:link stations. Paper tickets are valid for one way travel only.

There is no free travel on the tram, you must travel with a valid ticket at all times. Ticket checks happen anywhere, anytime so G:et a ticket or G:et a fine.

Remember to Think Safe, Stay Safe on and around the G:link network. Tracks are for trams – never walk, cycle, drive, or ride on the tracks or in front of a tram. This includes scooters and mopeds. Always use the designated pedestrian crossings to cross the tracks and look up and listen for trams.
