Smart Ticketing is a convenient way to pay for an adult fare with your Visa, Mastercard, American Express card or smart device. To get started with Smart Ticketing simply present one card or device per person and remember to tap on and off with same card or device. To help make your journey a smooth one, we’ve rounded up our best tips so you can tap on, hop on, hop off and tap off with ease.
Smart Ticketing Tip #1
If you’re using a smart device to tap on ensure you set the payment option to Visa, Mastercard or American Express.
Handy hint: If your device is set to Eftpos SAV an invalid card error message will appear on the validator accompanied by a red cross.

Travelling as a group on the G:? Ensure you present one card or device per person.
Handy hint: Smart Ticketing is currently only eligible for adult fares, for child or concession fares please continue to use your go card.
Smart Ticketing Tip #3
Tap on and off with the same card or device.
Handy hint: A smart watch and a smart phone are considered different devices, even if they are linked to the same card.
