SeaFire is back with a bang! Australia’s only international fireworks competition will be lighting up Surfers Paradise on Saturday 31 May 2025. Celebrate the spectacle of pyrotechnics with multiple breathtaking firework and music displays lighting up the sky.
Skip the traffic and parking hassle—Ride the G: for just 50 cents!
Extra trams will run every 7.5 minutes from 4pm to 10pm to help you get to and from the fireworks with ease.
Hop off at Cavill Avenue, Cypress Avenue or Surfers Paradise stations for the best access to all the action.
Remember that there may be crowds, so plan ahead and ensure that you pay for your fare before you board the G:

- contactless Visa, Mastercard or American Express credit or debit card or digital wallet linked to your smartphone, smart watch, or smart device. Please present one card or device per passenger travelling.
- go card – Please tap on at the start and end of your trip. Remember, you can only use once card or device per customer travelling.
- a pre-purchased paper ticket. Available from fare machines located at G:link stations. Paper tickets are valid for one way travel only.
Fines apply if you are caught riding the G: without a valid ticket!
