If you are planning to Ride the G: to the Pacific Airshow Gold Coast, extra services will be running on Saturday 17 August and Sunday 18 August to help G:et you there. The best stations for this event are Cypress Avenue, Cavill Avenue and Surfers Paradise.

Travel free on G:link trams with your entry ticket or accreditation pass between 8:30am and 5:30pm on the date of your entry ticket.
If you do not have an entry ticket, take advantage of the 50 cent flat fares to G:et to the event. It doesn’t matter if you’re an adult, child, senior, concession card holder or a tourist, fares will be a flat 50 cent rate. In order to access the 50 cent flat fare, you must have a valid ticket to Ride the G: Children aged five to 14 can still travel free on weekends using their orange child go card. - Smart Ticketing: You can pay by tapping on and off using a contactless Visa, Mastercard or American Express card, smartphone, or smart watch across the entire G:link network. Please present one card or device per passenger travelling.
- go card: Tap your go card to a validator on the station platform at the beginning and end of each trip.
- Paper tickets: Paper tickets are available for purchase at all G:link stations. Paper tickets are valid for one way travel only.
To note: For those who normally receive free travel, including Vision Impairment Travel Pass, Translink Access Pass and TPI/EDA Travel Pass holders, travel will continue to be free.
