Whether you’re riding the G: for a family day out, a night out with your mates, to the beach, the shops, school or one of the Gold Coast’s events, our drivers are here to help you to G:et around the Gold Coast! Meet Karen, one of your designated drivers on the G:

Riding the G: is a convenient, cheap and easy way to G:et around the Gold Coast. Simply sit back and relax while our tram drivers like Karen take care of the driving.

G:et to a night out

The G: is a convenient way to travel to some of the Gold Coast’s most iconic bars and destinations. We will G:et you there and back home safely without the hassle of needing to book a costly taxi or Uber. We have a designated driver waiting for you.

 

G:et to the shops

With the Gold Coast’s best shopping centres along the network including Pacific Fair, Australia Fair, Oasis and Westfield Helensvale – Riding the G: to the shops is easy.

 

G:et to school

Riding the G: to school? Simply tap on with your concession go card. If part of your journey includes riding a bike, simply park your bike at one of our stations that feature a bike rack facility and jump on board.

 

G:et to the beach

The G: can take you to several of the Gold Coast’s best beaches! Hop off at any station in Surfers Paradise or Broadbeach. Remember to stay sun smart and always Slip, Slop, Slap, Seek and Slide. When you get to the beach make sure you swim between the red and yellow flags on patrolled beaches. For more information on beach safety visit this page.

Did you know: you can take your surfboard on the tram? Gold Coast trams were the first in the world to have surfboard holders. Surfboard holders can be found in the centre two carriages of each tram.

 

G:et to one of the Gold Coast’s events

Riding the G: to any of the events that are held on the Gold Coast is so easy. Additional services will usually run during events and sometimes there is also free travel for ticket holders. Stay up to date on Riding the G: to an event by bookmarking the RideTheG.com.au website and check regularly for updates.

 

G:et on board!

With park and ride facilities at Helensvale and Parkwood station, bike racks at selected stations and trams running every 7.5 minutes during peak hour, we will get you to where you need to go – so G:et on board!

Did you know: Kids under 5 years old travel free, and kids aged 5 to 14 years travel free on weekends when touching on and off using their child go card.
