SeaFire is back with a bang! Australia’s only international fireworks competition will be lighting up the Gold Coast on Saturday 31 May 2025. Celebrate the spectacle of pyrotechnics with multiple breathtaking firework and music displays lighting up the sky.

Extra trams will run every 7.5 minutes from 4pm to 10pm to help you get to and from the fireworks with ease.
Due to the effects of Cyclone Alfred and some incredibly high tides SeaFire is changing this year, for community safety. For the first time you’ll be able to view the same spectacular international fireworks competition from not one location, but four!
- Surfers Paradise foreshore
- Broadbeach – Kurrawa
- Broadwater Parklands
- HOTA Parklands
The 18-minute show will showcase the two international competitors Belgium and USA and culminate with a spectacular Aussie fireworks finale.
Remember that there may be crowds, so plan ahead and ensure that you pay for your fare before you board the G:

- go card – Please tap on at the start and end of your trip. Remember, you can only use once card or device per customer travelling.
- a pre-purchased paper ticket. Available from fare machines located at G:link stations. Paper tickets are valid for one way travel only.
Fines apply if you are caught riding the G: without a valid ticket!
