Celebrating New Year’s Eve? We’ve got your transport covered! Additional G:link services will be running throughout the evening, so you can G:et onboard whenever you need to.
Trams will be running every 7.5 minutes from 7pm on New Year’s Eve until 2am on New Year’s Day. From 2am until 7am on New Year’s Day, trams will be running every 10 minutes.
Free travel on the G: will run from 8pm on New Year’s Eve through to 5.30am on New Year’s Day. Travelling outside of these hours? Make sure you have a valid ticket. Ticket options include:
• Smart Ticketing: You can pay by tapping on and off using a contactless Visa, Mastercard or American Express card, smartphone, or smart watch across the entire G:link network. Please present one card or device per passenger travelling.
• go card: Tap your go card to a validator on the station platform at the beginning and end of each trip.
• Paper tickets: Paper tickets are available for purchase at all G:link stations. Paper tickets are valid for one way travel only.
