Extra Services for SPRINGTIME Music Festival

SPRINGTIME is coming to the Gold Coast from 2 – 4 September 2022, featuring some of the best homegrown and national artists in leftfield alternative, electronic and hip hop. This three-day music festival will be held on the beach and the streets of Surfers Paradise, across multiple free outdoor stages.

G:link services for the SPRINGTIME music festival have been extended to get you home from the event.

We will have extra services running every 10-minutes until 11:00pm (rather than 7pm) on the Friday and Saturday night and until 9:30pm (rather than 7pm) on the Sunday night.

If you are planning on riding the G: to SPRINGTIME, Cavill Avenue station will give you the best access to the event. Make sure you have a valid ticket to Ride the G:.

Remember that there may be crowds, so plan ahead and ensure that you pay for your ticket before you board the G:. Using a go card is a quick way to ensure that you and your group all have valid tickets for travel on the tram.

Note: If you are paying an adult fare, you can now trial Smart Ticketing by tapping on and off using a contactless Visa, Mastercard or American Express card, smartphone, or smart watch across the entire G:link network. Continue to use your go card or purchase paper tickets if you wish to travel on a concession fare. You can purchase a paper ticket from fare machines at stations. Please remember, paper tickets are for one way travel only, so you’ll need to buy another ticket for your return journey.” Fines apply if you are caught riding the G: without a valid ticket!
