Hint of Swing Big Band – “A Swinging Soiree”
Are you missing that Big Band Sound? Then wait no longer, from the 20’s to the 60’s, Hint of Swing Big Band will take you back to the fabulous golden age of music and dancing.
This 18-piece big band is led by well-known director Ivan Cocking who has directed army bands, brass bands, theatre orchestras and big bands. He has also played for renowned international artists such as Shirley Bassie, Rob Orbison, Helen Shapiro, and Eartha Kitt.
Today, the band is joined by vocalists Cheryl O’Brien and James Henshaw. Combined with a Hint of Swing, their ultimate love for jazz will see you transported in time through a repertoire of jazz standards, Latin, swing, blues and more! So, dust off those dancing shoes and join us for a night of that sensational Big Band sound!
