Join Gold Coast Youth Service for an unforgettable morning in support of Youth Homelessness Matters Day (YHMD), Ending Youth Homelessness and Celebrating Young People!
We’re hosting a powerful 40-minute film screening + Q&A, diving into real stories of young adults who expe-rienced homelessness and are thriving against adversity, right here on the Gold Coast. This isn’t just a mov-ie screening; it’s a call to action. Watch the teaser trailer.
Hear firsthand from those with lived experiences, and join advocates and experts in a conversation that will challenge misconceptions, inspire change, and foster compassion in our community.
This event is for young people, adults, and anyone who would like to listen to the voice of young people and celebrate their strengths and resilience. Complimenting the film screening will be free activities for young people to participate in – all free. We will have tote bag screen printing, polaroid stand, badge making, en-tertainment, gallery tour, and merch with tasty lunch and snacks provided.
This event is a collaborative effort by young adults, GCYS, and Studio Luma. It is with sincere gratitude this film project was supported by City of Gold Coast. A huge thanks to our friends Home of the Arts for their support and collaboration.
