Join Kathy Lette for a Big Night Out as she takes centre stage and brings her latest creative work to HOTA on Thursday March 12 and Friday March 13.

Best known as the writer of many novels including Puberty Blues, How to Kill Your Husband (and Other Handy Household Hints), Foetal Attraction, and Nip’n’Tuck, Lette has decided it’s time to take the stage to share intimate details of her varied and multi-coloured personal, social and professional lives. The Australian born author, screenwriter, journalist, party girl and all-round bonne vivant will present a psychological striptease taking the Gold Coast from puberty blues to ‘menopause blues’, with tales of love, lust, men, marriage, pregnancy, childbirth, mastitis, sexist bosses, teenage-daughter-wrangling, ageing, toy boys, making the Queen laugh, hiding Julian Assange in her attic, tongue-kissing Prince William and close encounters of the George Clooney kind. Lette will also talk poignantly about the trials, tribulations and the hilarity of raising a child on the autistic spectrum, from the times her son Jules came home from school with a sign sticky-taped to his back saying “Kick me I’m a retard” to his success playing Jason on Holby City.

Kathy Lette’s Big Night Out will take the stage at 7:30 pm on Thursday and 1:00 pm on Friday. You can buy tickets and find more information through the HOTA website.
