If you’re looking for something fun to entertain little people, look no further! Little ArtLab provides hands-on creative fun with art activities designed for kids under five to enjoy with their parents and carers and this workshop is inspired by HOTA’s artist in residence, Jason Phu’s work Give us the strength to change the weather, almighty dragons of the four seas.

In this workshop, kids will create dragon kites out of recycled materials to summon the power of the almighty dragons to combat climate change. The four dragons, gods of the four seas in China are believed to influence the weather and water systems.

Encounter Jason’s work and learn about the elements and the seasons while also creating with family and friends.

Every Little ArtLab we like to share gulgun / words from the Yugumbeh language. If you speak a language other than English, please feel free to share your words during each Little ArtLab.

Suitable for children aged under five.

Little ArtLab is proudly supported by ADFAS and is presented by HOTA as part of the OUT LOUD Festival of events – for a complete list of happenings, jump over here.
