Join us in the HOTA Gallery Studio as we talk through the notion of ‘cool’, with one of the Gold Coast’s coolest cats of all, Claudio Kirac. Adjacent to the Pop Masters icons of cool, Claudio will unpack the concept in relation to his own art, design and practice. What happens when the cool goose is co-opted by corporate desire? Are the eggs still golden?

Claudio Kirac is known for his multi-disciplinary approach to his arts practice, working across painting, design, photography and installation, aiming to transcend the boundaries between analogue and digital processes and outcomes, whilst investigating the crossover between contemporary art and popular culture.

Claudio lives and works on the Gold Coast, Australia. His career spans more than 25 years with his work in the collections of HOTA Home of the Arts, The National Library of Australia and Louis Vuitton Asia Pacific.
