Dreaming of taking the kids on a low-cost holiday over the school break? Look no further than HOTA, Home of The Arts’ latest exhibition – Postcards from the Edge. This immersive and interactive exhibition is free to explore and brings Brisbane-based artist Martin Edge’s joyful view of the world to life. In particular, the exhibition showcases his travel adventures across the world in brand-new artworks purposely created for the show.

Martin began painting in 2007 and describes himself as a naïve artist who depicts the world according to his everyday life, including adventures he has been on or aspires to undertake. He is one of the leading artists in his field in Australia and a proud ambassador for Autism Queensland. Postcards from the Edge invites families to make their own memories during their visit and reflect on their travel experiences by climbing a giant sandcastle, visiting the souvenir shop or creating holiday mementos to take home.
