Show your support for those affected by the recent bushfires over the long weekend and join the Southport Sharks Bushfire Relief Fundraiser from Saturday January 25 to Monday January 27.
The Southport Sharks are rallying around those affected by the Australian bushfires this summer, particularly those in the Gold Coast community. Over the Australia Day long weekend, the club will be donating $1 from every beverage sold to the Gold Coast Rural Fire Brigade Group. The GCRFBG work to ensure all donations are given directly to the brigades, volunteers and residents throughout the region, including the residents recently affected by the fires in the Beechmont, Canungra and Boonha areas. These residents still need support to buy supplies and repair damaged properties. There will also be a wishing well collection to drop your spare change in at the Southport Sharks cafe to raise further funds.
The official Australia Day event at the Southport Sharks is on Sunday January 26 from 12:00 pm to 9:30 pm.
