After touring the globe, the legendary cabaret YUMMY is coming to the Gold Coast for the first time!

YUMMY DELUXE is a mix of new acts and YUMMY favourites with some electric new group numbers. Winners of “Best Production” and “Best Ensemble” (Cabaret) at the 2018 Green Room Awards, YUMMY has become synonymous with breath-taking drag, music, circus, and burlesque.

The feature-length spectacle will feature highly choreographed dance numbers as well as funny, surreal and touchingly raw performances from a who’s-who of widely acclaimed drag artists. It’s a high energy show that celebrates the feminine in all its forms. Director and performer James Welsby (Dancehouse Artist in Residence 2018/2019) leads a stellar line-up as mother of the house Valerie Hex, real life circus sweetheart and bio queen Hannie Heldsen is the queen of camp, former Miss Burlesque Australia winner Zelia Rose is a femme fatale, and avant-garde tour de force Jandruze treads the tightrope between contemporary dance and club classic. Circus super-star Jarred Dewey’s performance is high skill excellence, and live vocalist Carla Lippis rounds out the cast with her powerful and astounding voice. It’s an ensemble of unstoppable drag-portions.

The show has a unique balance of gender fluidity that reflects the changing cultural attitude toward gender identity, while YUMMY has been recognised for its incorporation of women in drag spaces.
