WHAT’S G:OING ON?

Blues on Broadbeach Music Festival 2022

G:link services for Blues on Broadbeach, from Thursday 19 May to Sunday 22 May 2022, have been extended to help you get to and from the event.

If you’re planning on riding the G: to the festival, we’ll be extending our 10-minute frequency until 11:00 pm (rather than 7 pm) on Saturday. Additional services will be running on Sunday to help you get home. For the easiest access to the event, use Broadbeach North station.

Remember that there may be crowds, so plan both your ticketing and group movements, before you travel. Using a go card is a quick way to ensure that you and your group all have valid tickets for travel on the tram. Paper tickets are available for purchase at stations. If you are paying an adult fare you can now trial Smart Ticketing by tapping on and off using a contactless Visa, Mastercard or American Express card, smartphone or smart watch across the entire G:link network. Continue to use your go card or purchase paper tickets if you wish to travel on a concession fare.

When you have your tickets and the next tram arrives, push the illuminated button on the tram to open the door. Make sure everyone is ready and all board at the same time. Once on board remember to either hold on or sit down at all times. If you are sitting in a raised seating area, please watch your step when exiting.
