Come and sing along at carols on the beach in Surfers Paradise, held on Sunday 18 December 2022. The carols are held at Surfers Paradise beach from 6pm and will end in the annual fireworks display. Carols on the beach is always a hugely popular event, so we will be offering increased services to get you to and from the event. Leave your car at home, grab a ticket, and ride the G:. If you’re lucky you might even get to ride on the Rudolph Express tram!
Park and ride facilities are available from Helensvale or Parkwood stations. Our services will continue to run every 10 minutes until 10pm.
Make sure you’re on Santa’s good list this year and always travel with a valid ticket. Remember that there may be crowds, so plan ahead and ensure that you pay for your ticket before you board the G:. Tap on and tap off with a go card to ensure that you and your group all have valid tickets for travel on the tram. You can purchase a paper ticket from fare machines at stations. Please remember, paper tickets are for one way travel only, so you’ll need to buy another ticket for your return journey.
Note: If you are paying an adult fare, Smart Ticketing is another way to pay when riding the G:. Simply tap on and tap off with a contactless Visa, Mastercard or American Express debit or credit card, smart phone or smart device. If you’re planning on transferring to a bus or train service, or if you’re travelling on a concession fare, please continue to use your go card.
